First Sunday in Hawaii!!

Last night, I had set up an alarm clock (or thought I did) to ring at about 7:30 am in the morning, but somehow I was asleep until Naomi woke us up at 8:00. The reason why we woke up early this morning was because it was Sunday, and our first worship to have together. We started at 9:00, after breakfast was over. Erin led the whole service... we sang a few songs, prayed together and had offerings, and Erin gave a short message about unity. I felt today that even when there are only a few people, we are still a church, and that the Holy Spirit was really in the midst of us while we worshipped.

After our own service, we went to the Kaimuki Christian Church's at 10:30. There were many people there, though not quite as many as I had seen there two years ago. Paster Ron talked about helping people of Africa in need. Ericson was there, and gave us two big mangos.

<<<<<-------Behold, our mango family! The two red ones are from Ericson. I took this pic just in time, because we cut up the green ones in the afternoon. After lunch, we went to visit Naomi and Priscilla's grandfather's cemetery at Punchbowl. There we payed our respects and left some flowers. It was also a beautiful place, and I took quite a few pictures. The place is in the center of a crater, and the view of the outside from there is great!

inside and outside

Yup, these are just a few of many that I took today. We got back home at around 4:30 and each did our own things until a little before 6:00, when we left for Aunt Jean's house at Kahala Tower. Aunt Jean had invited us over to dinner that night. It was very nice to see her again! The dinner was delicious (a full course!), complete with salad, soup, ham and desert.
When dinner was over, we watched a movie called The Legend of Bagger Vance, a movie about golfing, starring Matt Damon and Will Smith. Surprisingly, I think I liked Will Smith's character better than Matt Damon's. :D Oh well, I'm sure Priscilla can give you a more descriptive, detailed info of the movie in her blog. ;)
Aunt Jean has a really nice, big TV. Just look at it! The sound was pretty impressive, too.
It was past 10:00 when we left her house, and soon after getting home I started writing this blog.
I bid you all good night! ;)

Yeah the meat is really big...but looks really good too ^^ The birds are doing great, just that one keeps pushing the other, although other than that, they get along fine. They're cuddled up together in the corner of their cage now. ^^
